Not so Hotty Toddy

Friday, September 25th, 2009

Well, it appears that Ole Miss was indeed over rated, as South Carolina beat down Ole Miss 16-10 last night.  Props to Ellis Johnson, South Carolina’s defensive coordinator, who had an exceptional gameplan.  He kept the pressure coming on Snead, and the result?  Snead looked like Mike Henig.   Maybe there’s a really good reason he stayed on the bench at Texas.

UGA: We don’t want your sh*t

wow

wow

Reading this and this article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution – well – its a sad of affairs in Athens.

Tailgaters dumped about 70 tons of garbage and left mounds of tents, grills, coolers, chairs and bottles across the North Campus. They urinated on public buildings and defecated outside, UGA President Michael Adams said.

War Beagle!

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

Auburn spotted West Virginia 14 in the first 5 minutes of the game and lead 34-30 in the 4th.   Gotta give WVU some credit, they’ve got some outstanding speed in the skill positions, especially RB Noel Devine.

AU CB Walter McFadden just picked off a WVU pass as WVU was driving deep in Auburn teritory.  I’d be feeding Ben Tate a lot right now.

A pick 6 late in the game seals it for Auburn, 41-30 is your final.

Mississippi State wins a SEC game on the road

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

I know, that shouldn’t be headline news, but the Hunchback of Starkville got his first SEC win as a head coach, at Vanderbilt.  Congratulations Dan, your reward?  You get to have six top 25 teams come play you, including #1 Florida.  Enjoy it tonight, Lester is bringing his Tigers to town next Saturday.

No defense in Fayetteville

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

Arkansas and Georgia apparently left their defenses at the hotels, they sure are not at the game.  UGA is up 49-41 and there’s been over 800 yards of passing between the two teams.  Insane!

Final:  UGA 52 – UPIG 41 – offense galore, both QB’s had school record nights.

And I got it right, after the game Joe Cox goes to Erin Andrews…………

Tide Rolling, Cats Reeling

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

As promised here, Alabama is bitchslapping North Texas to the tune of 44-0 in the 3rd quarter.   Saban has been playing the second string since late in the second quarter.  John Parker who?  Greg McElroy was en fuego, 12-14, ran for a TD and threw for two more.

Meanwhile, Kentucky has spoon-fed Louisville a 20-17 lead in the 3rd quarter,  thanks to three UK turnovers.

Flu strikes Ole Miss

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

The Clarion Ledger reports that several Ole Miss football players are suffering from flu-like symptoms.  While symptoms include fever and vomiting, the staff does not believe this is the dreaded H1N1 swine flu.

Dear Ole Miss, you just played Memphis, god knows what you contracted.  The Rebels are fortunate that their bye week is this weekend, the boys can take a trip to the clinic, get thier shots, and learn how not to catch this again.

Hey Barack, time to step in again

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Last night, after Boise State beat Oregon 19-8 on the hideous blue astroturf, Oregon’s RB LeGarrette Blount sucker punched Boise State’s linebacker Byron Hout.  Blount, who lit up the Boise State defense for minus five yards on eight carries, showed what he is really made of – chickensh*t.

There’s also the fact that Blount is black and Hout is white.  If this were the other way around, there would be talk of this being a racist act, a hate crime.  Barack Obama didn’t mind pointing out that the Cambridge Police acted stupidly when a white cop arrested a black professor.  That resulted in a beer party at the White House at taxpayer expense.

So Barack, I hope you’ll have Air force One pick up these two guys tomorrow and fly them to the White House, so you and Joe can get drunk again for another teachable moment.

Rich Rodriguez owes $3.9 million

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

According to the Detroit Free Press, Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez is in default of a $3.9 million loan.  His financial advisor says Rodriguez is the victim of a real estate Ponzi scheme.

The picture at Michigan is coming clear now, players are complaining about excessive practice, the coach is being sued for defaulting on a loan.   If Rodriguez had paid invested in his players, everyone would be happy in Ann Arbor.
